There is a song called Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol that reminds me of my father.

Burial (Benny Blanco Remix Feat. Neon Hitch) – from UO LSTN #4. I used it to get over a girl this year. But uh, nothing more profound than that. I quite like all my music.

Beethoven’s Waldstein piano sonato, when played at breakneck speed, gives me goose bumps. Vladimir Horovitz is my pianist of choice.

Some think he was a “master of distortion and exaggeration,” In the 1980 edition of Grove’s Dictionary of Music and Musicians, Michael Steinberg wrote that Horowitz “illustrates that an astounding instrumental gift carries no guarantee about musical understanding.” Source.

Unchained melody was the song that my wife and i had the first dance to at our wedding.
I use to sing it at clubs when we first met and it was the obvious choice.

@Notrom An enduring classic. Would have liked to hear you sing that. Requires quite a vocal range if sung properly.

I’m on Fire for some reason this became me and my mothers song. We listen to it all the time and I got the first music notes from the song tattooed on my hip.

Yellow Ledbetter because it is pretty much all me and my father have in common.

@sjmc1989 Oh Yellow ledbetter, I love that guitar riff. I play it all the time. One of my most favorite riffs, well, blue-y type riffs anyway, lol.

I’m Yours by Jason Mraz

That song came out (or, at least, I first heard it) right around the time that I was deciding I would keep my baby when everyone was telling me I should have an abortion, because I was pregnant from a rape. It made me really happy for my decision.

“For Good” from Wicked; it epitomizes some of the relationships I’ve had and is the perfect example of what a strong friendship should be.
