Would you like to help me spread some happiness to fellow Jellies?

Asked by gggritso (5459points) December 27th, 2009

Intro: You may remember the thread where Grisaille thanked some of his favourite Jellies. The thread was removed because even though it was fun, it left some people out. I agree. It is fun. It’s fun to make other people feel good by thanking them. I wanted to thank some people too, and make it possible for other people to contribute.

A few days ago I registered this blog. For the past week I’ve been posting usernames of Jellies and thanking them for making me a better person over the past few months. I promoted it a bit and allowed other Jellies to contribute. The first people I thanked were Andrew, Ben and Tim. I felt that was appropriate.

Today I wanted to invite all of the jellies to participate. If you’d like to, please visit the website and leave some kind comments, it would be lots of fun.

You can read about what I’m trying to do and then visit the site and leave some comments. I think this could be something great.

After I’ve thanked all the Jellies that I wanted to, I’ll leave it open for other people to suggest Jellies that they want to thank. Eventually I want to thank everyone.

Today I thanked rangerr.

What a sweet idea! I love this, @gggritso! We hear so much BAD during our days sometimes, don’t you think? It’s such a waste. You must hold spreading positive as importantly as I do. I try so hard to see the positive in people, so it’s very rare that I get into a negative space. I believe in trying to feed the positive, which is why I love your blog! Wonderful job, creating a space to spread a little good :)

@gggritso Way to spread the love! Good idea.

Let the sucking up begin

@toomuchcoffee911 Or perhaps people just saying what they really feel.

Sucking up is the furthest thing from my personality. If you want to talk sincerity, then I’m your huckleberry :)

It’s a cool idea, and I’ll certainly follow up. So one Jelly a day? I can’t say something for everyone only because I barely know anyone here, but I’ll participate as much as I can.

toomuchcoffee911's avatar

@chyna Oh, I wasn’t referring to the answers above when I said that.

Sigh. To anyone offended by my comment above, I’m sorry. I meant it as a joke; I think @gggritso ‘s idea for the blog is a great one and will surely make many people happy.

I wasn’t sure where you were going with it because I don’t know you well enough yet, so I stayed put. No worries here, @toomuchcoffee911!

I wasn’t around for this thread, but I can see how this would hurt some feelings. Those that don’t feel appreciated may be waiting for their name to come up, and it never will because they aren’t in your inner circle. I completely understand why the mods removed Grisaille’s question. His heart was in the right place, but seriously, not everyone from Fluther will be included. Someone will be hurt by this.

This is an old Q that happened to pop up. It is well worth reviving. I went to the blog and smiled the whole time I was reading. Thanks for spreading sunshine.
