Do you enjoy suspending your disbelief in order to watch a good Harry Potter or Captain Kangaroo flick?

Are you able to suspend your disbelief and open wide your imagination, or do you prefer the pleasure of fact based reality 24/7?

YES, I like a lot of fantasy books and shows. George R R Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire has me hooked. If they make an of it into a movie I’ll be there. Deathly Hallows was the best HP book imho.

In answer to the question: I can suspend disbelief unless the story has something really outrageous. Like Lifetime Network movies.

I open my imagination, but not to lame movies like the ones you mentioned lol. I open up to avatar, and movies like event horizon or something. Most tv and movies isn’t fact based anyways, even the drama movies aren’t very realistic.

@Blackberry and I was bored with Avatar- must have been the mood I was in.

@Blackberry Harry Potter, a lame movie?! (Bows head in shame)

Oh yeah I didn’t mean to bash Harry Potter lol, I should’ve just said ‘its not for me’ lol. It’s hard for me to get into it with the kids in it, if it was more adult oriented I may like it.

I meant there is no such thing…

I’ve never, ever “thought about” suspending disbelief.

Those of us who enjoy such entertainment suspend disbelief quite naturally.

Perhaps you might be lucky enough to catch the sequel!

I’m an atheist, probbaly a nihilist, I believe in NOTHING. I mean nothing, not even what is evident. To me, everything just serves fucking, killing and eating.

Yet, Harry Potter is the fucking shit man.

In fact, because I believe in nothing, my life seems extremely dark and dreary, so I love escaping in books or movies or video games where they present shit I wish was real.

I wanna go to Hogwart’s…
