If we are talking about sex then freak means kinky, wild, crazy good!

Means a lot of things to me. In High School (I am 41) the Freaks were the people who smoked and got high (actually lots of non-freaks were smoking and getting high, but they put on a different front). I knew guys back then who also referred to girls who liked to have sex as freaks. I think if I heard the word today I would imagine it refers to someone who is a little eccentric and unpredictable. Probably someone who is to be avoided.

I am a child of the ‘60s. When you called someone a Freak, you meant that he or she was just like you.

Here’s my poem of it.

FREAK:
Freak of nature not by choice
When you speak there sounds no voice
With your laugh there comes no smile
Freak of nature born on trial…..

Freaks are people who don’t dress like me and listen to the same music as I do =P

Me, because everybody is uniquely different.
What’s normal?

To me, a “freak” is just someone who is out there (meaning very different from most people), but usually in a negative way. Not always, but usually. I often hear it accompanied by the word “fucking”, so to me, that signifies negativity.

Someone who behaves and/or dresses in such a way to get negative attention almost cintinually.

I always thought of it as a negative also. But there was a swimmer in Australia, Ian Thorpe. Before Michael Phelps came along, he was the best and they called him a freak. It was a compliment.

I guess it can go either way depending on the user and usage.

In casual conversation, I would say it means somebody who has done or does something different from normal.

In high school it could be used for the lowest of the lowest unpopular people.

The actual freak would be someone who would have they’re body moving differently or to look different from others in usually a bad way. Find these types at your local circus
