I have been going out with my girlfriend for about a year now and I want to get her something nice that won't break the bank. Any suggestions?

get her something that reminds you if a time that you have had or make her a nice dinner. Or even take her to a movie a buy her, her fav coke & candy. Love doesn’t have to be about how much money you spend on eachother. Good luck.

What does she like? A $10 present that is exactly what she likes and shows you put some thought into it will go a lot farther than a generic $1000 ring that the man on TV (or on Fluther) told you to buy.

burn her a cd. bonus points if they are songs that she can relate to your relationship.

don’t spend any money. if you really wanna show her what she means to you then give yourself a challenge ( most people find not using money a challenge…).
do you like the outdoors? go on a picnic (might require money, but i meant in the way of purchasing her something. ) go for a little stroll through the woods. if it’s warm where you are, go in the river!
eh, something i’d do ha.
i just don’t see any value in giving someone something someone else/ some machine made, you know? it’s not truly from you.
just use the things you know about her and really treat her. make a CD and play it on the way to your picnic in the middle of a field [;

Something that comes from your heart is far better than something bought. :D

example.. (haha) i took my best friend taylor (we’re both photographers. real ones, not the 15 year old girls that by a digital and make photog myspaces…. anyways) i took her photographing all day from 11am to 3:30. it was so much fun. she lives in atlanta and i live a little northeast so i took her to these abandoned houses i know and a bunch of rural areas and some alleys. this was for her birthday. it was one of the best days i had!

girls care more about romance than an expensive gift. Google romantic ideas.

Give her a card expressing ur love, but make it by hand. Dont buy the card buy the materials.

check out etsy.com
it’s all handmade things, i know i said don’t buy anything but it’s a good idea in addition to what i said, etc?... like i bought taylor this camera necklace i found on etsy, made her a CD, and took her photography all day, then we went to Everett’s bluegrass barn that night [:
oh wait no no, that was a different night hahajflkda;. took her back to atlanta to a friends house for dinner then we went to a show at the masquerade.

Menories are superior to materials when it comes to gifts.
