Will you be watching this exciting new season?

Asked by Sophief (6681points) March 10th, 2010

Will you be watching the new Formula 1 season starting this coming Sunday? If so, what are you more looking forward to?

For me, it will be watching Michael Schumachers return.

@Cloverfield Me too. I really really can’t wait. He will show Lewis a thing or two.

@Dibley I’m convinced of it…. he is the undisputed master…. he’s the Darth Vader of F1

Now I might fire up the TV for this.

I’m looking forward to the radical changes they’ve introduced this year.No refuelling & 25pts for a win should be interesting to say the least.Oh & Hamilton owning the German cobblers arse.Let the fun begin.

Sophief's avatar

@ucme No refuelling will be very interesting, I’m not too keen on the new points system yet though.

@Dibley I suppose the powers that be are trying to make a win more of a reward.2nd gets18pts right the way down to 10th place who gets a point. With Schumacher back & Alonso in a Ferrari I reckon it might be wacky races, at least at the start of the season anyway.Definitley think Hamilton will win though, but as always it primarily depends on the car.

Sophief's avatar

@ ucme I’ve never like Hamilton, and never wanted Alonso in a Ferrari! If a Brit has to win, would prefer it to be Button. Will be hard seeing Schumacher and him not being in a Ferrari.

Not directly, but one of my blog contacts is married to a driver, and owns a team, so she provides personal comments from time to time.

Sophief's avatar

@YARNLADY Very lucky you, who is she married to?

YARNLADY's avatar

@Dibley I don’t have permission to say.

JeffVader's avatar

@YARNLADY If we guess correctly, would you give us the nod?

YARNLADY's avatar

@Cloverfield no the blog is private

partyparty's avatar

No I won’t. I will be going out with my family for a ‘Mothers day’ meal. This will be far more enjoyable… from my viewpoint!

What is up with the change to no refueling? I don’t follow F-1 rules closely, but didn’t they learn enough from the starting line crashes in the past how bad it is to have that much fuel in a car at one time?

My attention is being addressed to other situations in the motoring world.
