Which ones do you like? Why?

I like Ed, Edd, and Eddy because it’s so random and weird haha.

Well, of course I love South Park. It’s no holds barred funny.
The Simpsons was great in it’s first 6 or 7 seasons.
Rocky and Bullwinkle is my favorite classic cartoon.
I also love Ren and Stimpy.

All of these are seditious, and very smart.

I second Ed, Edd, and Eddy and nominate Phineas and Ferb. They make use of more complex humor that other shows seem to forgo. Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends gets honorable mention for having Cheese, the best character in the world that happens to be my avatar.

Ren and Stimpy
Rocko’s Modern Life
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Most Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts from 1938–1952, especially those directed by Bob Clampett

Why?
All of them are subversive, either thematically, or in the style of the art.

I must make special mention of this cartoon, directed by Chuck Jones, as it was the first to use the blur effect in an animated film, all the way back in ‘40. Otherwise, this doesn’t look like the typical WB product. Plus, three brothers affianced to one girl? Hahahaha! I think it’s just ace!

“Confound those Dover Boys! Ooh, how I hate them! I hate Tom! I hate Dick! And I hate Larry! They drive me to drink!” ::“Slurp!” x17::

Back in the day it was Bugs Bunny, Tazmanian Devil, Road Runner and Yosemite Sam. Sadly, now its Family Guy.

Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends – The humor intended for adults is pretty great. The characters are adorable. It’s just great.
The Simpsons – Never cease to amuse me.

And anything that was on Nick in the 90’s. Most importantly, Rocket Power.

Dr. Katz- Intelligent humor for neurotic intellectuals, Beavis and Butthead- Ahead of its time. South Park LMAO funny. The Simpsons- Homer.

I’m onboard with the classic Looney Tuned/Merry Melodies. They were irreverent with snappy dialog and a slightly subversive edge to them. Much hipper than the sacharine Disney was peddling. Plus they had classical music soundtracks, pop culture references and (best of all), Bugs Bunny in drag.

What’s not to love, Doc?

There is Rocko, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, Ahhhhh! Real Monsters! Tiny Toons, Anamanics, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Jetsons, Flintstones, Oggie Doggie, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Code Lyoko, Bobby’s World, Eeek! the Cat, Earthworm Jim, Tale Spin, Gummy Bears, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Ugly Americans, Drawn Together, Goof Troop.
