Are You a Gambling Smoker?

Asked by DonnaDon (26points) June 29th, 2010

Yes I’am. And while I don’t smoke that much, I do enjoy the rare luxury of lighting up indoors, in public, along with my fellow smoking gamblers. It’s part of the casino experience, whether legislative leaders in our nanny state like it or not. Banning cigarettes would put us at a competitive disadvantage.

I think smokers should be in a sealed-off room with separate ventilation. As long as there is clear sides and no overlap, I don’t really care.

If there is just a roped off section- then no smoking should be allowed. Or leave it up to the business to decide if they want to be all smoking or no smoking.

A very good customer was a “gambling smoker” at 50 years old just found out in May he has lung cancer. Dead man walking!

Wife and i are both gamblers and smokers. some casinos have banned smoking and their bottomline has suffered for it. the casino we attend, has one floor designated to non-smokers. this floor is vacant about 70% of the time. lets face it, gamblers smoke.

We do not violate the casino rules. actually, the non-smoking floor is to our advantage. since there is hardly anyone ever there, we play on this floor without smoking and win. like the saying goes “an idle slot machine is a winning slot machine”.

I agree with your question. we also enjoy the fact that we can smoke indoors and be social with our gambling friends. this is just about the only place left to do so. the air inside a casino, by law, is changed every two hours. at least, this is the law at the casino we play.

yes a gambling drinking smoker. I only go to casinos where you can have and ashtray on one side and a drink on the other.

Every smoker is a gambling smoker.

Agree with @Simone_De_Beauvoir . That’s why, after finding a reason to live, I’m trying to quit smoking.
