I disagree. The series of events that led up to the creation of this habitable planet we call earth make me think that the probability of there being other planets capable of supporting life is incredibly low, almost non-existant.

I think it’s just about certain that there’s life somewhere else.

And just think, there could be someone else out there wondering the very same thing right now!

With all the billions of planets out there, there has definitely got to be a few that are in the ideal location from their sun, with the ideal environs to support life as we know it. Now, whether or not that life is advanced enough to visit our planet with the sole purpose of probing the sensitive parts of people who live in Kansas – I doubt it.

There are over 50+billion estimated galaxies in our universe. Data collected from long-exposures w. the Hubble telescope confirms that. Some planet or planet-like objects have been found; none of them capable of sustaining life as we define it.

There probably is something out there. Whether it is a humaniod or a plant, there is life out there. Not to mention, consider if every person was a planet on earth, and there was a world-wide lotto and every person is given a random number set consisting of 7 numbers between 1 and 100. The probability of wining is 1 in 7 billion. That means, equating relevant ratios, it would take a week to make our planet, that means atleast one other person could win this mithical lotto of life. ignore the lines at the bottom of the answer, I’m using an iPhone and Fluther hates it if your respounce is more then one setance. m using
billion. That billion. Trelevant

The sun is not the only reason that we have life here. Our moon also plays a huge role in it. And the creation of our moon was pure chance as well.
