If so, how did you deal with the situation?

So they said…pshaw…no one’s really heterosexual.~

I happen to agree with you. But a lot of people are really, really, REALLY close…;-)

Yes, and I ended up marrying him! At first I was embarrassed, because we used to like to eat dinner at the Thai place next to our local gay bar, but I realized that as long as we didn’t act straight in public or hold hands or anything, we could pass.

Yes. She dumped me after a month to go be with a guy. For all you women out there: When I ask you if you like guys, too, that would be your chance to let me know that that might happen, not say that every guy you’ve ever liked has turned out to be gay…

Of course.. but all they really need is a good woman to set them straight on the right path. ~

If I thought that a girl wasn’t hetero, then I wouldn’t hit on her.

@Randy Yet, you and I would make a hot team. Don’t write off some of us queers.

Yes- my wife.
I dealt with it by marrying her. :-p

No, never happened to me.

My gadar is pretty dang accurate. The only time I ever hit on a “straight” woman, she turned out to have been going through a transitional (read “coming out”) period in her life. She was open minded to my interest. :)

seazen_'s avatar

Isn’t hetero when a man loves a woman? I’m confused.

MyNewtBoobs's avatar

@seazen_ Yeah, but it was a gay man asked to the gay community.

seazen_'s avatar

OIC – one souldn’t assume everyone knows one is gay or not.

For example, am I a male or female? Gay or straight or Bi? And how do I choose to define myself? If you were new to fluther, or simply have missed me all these years (plus my many incarnations) you might not know. If I were to ask:

Have you ever hit on a woman and it turned out she was straight? You might assume from my avatar that I am male, straight, and the question would be quite strange…

MyNewtBoobs's avatar

@seazen_ The question was a followup to the many, many times “have you ever hit on someone who turned out to be homosexual”. Plus, a straight person hitting on a gay person probably won’t face retaliation. But a gay person hitting on a straight person might – and many have.

iamthemob's avatar

@MyNewtBoobs – you know my point too well. ;-)

seazen_'s avatar

So, no lurve?

MyNewtBoobs's avatar

@seazen_ Within 72 hours, you’ve managed to get up to over 800 lurve. You get more lurve than any other jelly. Stop kvetching.

seazen_'s avatar

I kvetch until I see your nickname – then I kvell.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t think I’ve ever hit on anyone, to be honest!

seazen_'s avatar

@Dutchess_III Hit on me in the past – when we were different nicknames…

Dutchess_III's avatar

I DID NOT!!!!!! And we have both always been variations of Zen and Dutchess! Except when I was Dutch Cat in the beginning and I was hiding under a rock, NOT hitting on people!

seazen_'s avatar

Pants ablaze. Lurves ya.

Dutchess_III's avatar

LOL! Hush, now!

iamthemob's avatar

I think that all you all are not duty bound to send people here and mark it a “GQ” for lurve for setting the stage for all that.

@seazen_ – are you this much of a lurve ho when you start over each time? ;-)

seazen_'s avatar

oHo I am a ho ho ho.

Dutchess_III's avatar

You ho. Me not!

seazen_'s avatar

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

No ho, no go.

MissAnthrope's avatar

Gay people are awesome.

Dutchess_III's avatar

….ALL of them @MissAnthrope?

@seazen_…..Rum??????????????????????????????
