Can the A-data S596 Turbo AS596TB-128GM-C 2.5" 128GB be powered through the onboard micro USB port?

This is an SSD with both SATAII and micro USB. When using only the micro USB, is the drive powered through the USB connection, or does it require SATA power input?

SATA runs on 3.3v, and USB 5v, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be powered by only USB. I don’t want to give you a definite answer for that specific hardware though.
