Support help with Apple Pages. Columns won't wrap properly around pictures?

Asked by rovdog (842points) November 26th, 2010

Using Apple pages for the first time. Was surprised at how easy it is to get a good looking document BUT… now I’m incredibly frustrated with simple things. My main problem right now is that even when I make my pictures floating and indicate that the text should wrap around them- it doesn’t- when it used to wrap around my other pictures fine. I had to go to an older saved version of the document and paste these in because I accidentally erased a full page- this can happen rather easily I think. Anyway- now my pictures are not behaving properly- any tips? also is there any way to export a single page? that would also have helped immensely.

Have you tried to select the picture and drag it to where you want it? The text will flow around it, providing you have also selected the appropriate flow type (it appears next to the “float button”. Also, go to the inspector, select the wrap tab and make sure the “object causes wrap” box is checked.

As for exporting a single page, I don’t know of any way to do it directly. I select the whole page, paste it into a new document and export from the new document.
