Are you an animal/pet person?

I like dogs. I have one; his name is Frank, and he is a cross between a Rottweiler and some kind of hound.
I don’t like cats. I think they are impersonal and cold animals. I love having pets, except cats.

Yes.I will always have pets.Right now I have a German Shepherd, two Maine Coons and two fish:)

I like all dogs and cats but am partial to GSD’s and Maine Coons.

Had pets for as long as I can remember. Right now we have a dog, a hamster & three guinea pigs. Must be animal magnetism :¬)

I used to think I liked only cats until I got a dog about a decade ago and now I’m a dog convert. I’ve had snakes, fish, frogs, birds and a rabbit over the years but think no matter what you pick, you’ve got to have time for them. Working like I do now is no good for pets.

Yes I am a dog lover.
My daughter has a beautiful horse who is so very friendly.
Really I love any animal.

I love dogs and cats. Bunnies and horses I can do, but not as my own (especially with the cost of horses…). Beyond that, I’m pretty much terrified or freaked out by all the other pets (rodents, bugs, reptiles, birds).

Yep, 40 something years of cats, dogs, rats, birds, chickens, geese, horses, rabbits, fish,...on & on.

I currently have the lowest number of pets of my lifetime to date as I am at an age where, while I will always love animals I don’t wish to do all the work anymore.

2 cats & 2 geese, the balance is good these days. haha

Im a cat person, so is the hubby, we LOVE cats….got 3 of em :)

I love all animals. My dreams is to retire to an area where I can keep all kinds of animals. I am, however, a cat person to the core.

I love all kinds of animals, but especially dogs.

I like animals… but I also like not being the only person responsible for them. Which is why when I live on my own I’m much less likely to end up with a pet.

I like all animals and pets. Everything from ants to elephants, whales and crocodiles, dogs and cats, lions and, tigers,and bears oh my! But my favorite is the wolf.

There are two cats in my house, I’m not sure who owns who?? :-/

My life would be incomplete without my dogs. I have had at least one continuously for the last 60 couple years. At the moment I have a 13 year old akita and I know I will not have him too much longer and it is so sad to see him wither and weaken. I have a 13 year old little brown dog who is handling her age much more easily than the big guy and I have a 3 year old dingo mix who is my pride and joy, running and biking partner, almost constant companion. I have a house in the southern part of the state which is rented for pittance to an older gentleman who takes care of my cat and chicken who still reside there. They were not allowed in our last home which was in a national park. I also had a cockatiel who had so much personality, lost her a few years ago and I am seriously looking for an older one to adopt. I don’t want a young one because it would outlive me and it is hard to find someone who will take care of your animals after you die.

Here is a pic of my cockatiel and the akita (taken many years ago). The bird loved bacon rind, so does the akita but he has such good manners, he waits hoping she will leave him a taste!

Furry pets are wonderful and I want them all, feathered pets are nice when they belong to someone else, lizards and frogs I prefer to see in the wild and snakes could all vanish off the face of the earth and I would throw a big celebratory party!

I used to always have at least two dogs and a cat or two for years. At the moment I’m down to one dog, and as much as I miss having bunches of pets, I do kind of enjoy the ease of only one. For awhile. Don’t know how long this will last, but I always have to have somebody furry around.

I am, especially when it comes to dogs. I love dogs. Unfortunately I can’t have one due to my working times :(

I love animals. Sadly though, im allergic to all the furry ones yes even poodles that are supposed to be hypo >_< Sooo ill stick with my saltwater fish and coral.

I think there is more for me there anyway. It seems, to me at least, when people get dogs and things like that its for companionship. For me, fish are something different entirely, its something to study and learn from and something that requires a lot of out of the box thinking and problem solving so its a perfect match :P

I love fish tanks, but I am awful at the delicacy of maintainance.

I have always wanted a really cool marine aquarium.

@Coloma its REALLY not as hard as you think. Coral can be a bit touchy but still if you follow basic rules you’re generally fine :) I guarantee I could teach you to have a nice fish tank :)

I love gazing into somebody’s lovely aquarium too. It’s so soothing. My problem with fish tanks was that the ugly $0.40 fish would kill and eat the beautiful expensive fish every darned time.

@Blueroses thats why they make these. Also why its important to read about each fish BEFORE you buy it. If you follow some basic rules you almost never have problems.

I love animals, but can’t have any as pets. Maybe soon, but hubby is allergic and hates dogs.

allergic to cats now, but had plenty.

I’m definitely and animal/pet person. Dogs are my favourite but if I had the space I’d have my own mini zoo! I couldn’t imagine my life without a dog though.
