Where to stay in Palm Springs for golf and spa lover?

My husband and I want to travel to Palm Springs/Palm Desert in February. He is an avid golfer, and I am equally passionate about lying by a pool and getting massages. We are in our late 20s/early 30s. Looking for a luxury hotel, near restaurants/shopping. Any suggestions?

Rancho Las Palmas just underwent an extensive facelift and renovation. They have 27 holes of golf, a great spa, and are offering winter specials.

The Esmeralda
This Marriot is really cool. I love the Grounds, and the Gondala rides, along with the great golf, spa and food. I’ve stayed at both. Esmeralda is closer to El Passeo Drive shopping.
