Metallica because they are one of the best heavy metal bands of all time. Despite what some people say they have not sold out. they have only evolved and grown up and their music grew up with it.

Queen and U2

I really like Rasputina, for their melding of history lessons in their music and dress, and for putting classical music into rock.

Leonard Cohen. His lyrics are wrought with honesty. I also love Bob Dylan and Neil Youg.
I think Muse are an incredibly talented band. Queen of course too.

All of the bands or singers that I like stand out in one way or another, one isn’t necessarily higher than the others. There are some groups that I prefer at different times, but I wouldn’t say that it’s all the time. Amy Winehouse, however, would be close.

I know that she’s a mess, but have you heard her voice?! It’s raspy, it’s sultry, it’s just amazing and I can’t get enough of it.

There is alot that stick out to me as well. Honestly Radiohead never ceases to blow me away.

I was just going to say Radiohead. Can’t wait for their new album, out this year!! I don’t know how it’s going to top their last few though. In Rainbows was something else.

TOOL.

@ladymia69, love Rasputina, they really are unique and complex.

@ANef_is_Enuf Manard has the most amazing voice I have ever heard hands down. He is almost super human. He can sing in a small room and his voice still has a cathedral sound and acoustic to it.

@Twinkletoes22 I couldn’t agree more. ;) Truth of the matter is, every time I’ve seen him perform live, I was moved to tears.

Twinkletoes22's avatar

@ANef_is_Enuf I have never seen him live but just listening to tool and a perfect circle cds give me cold chills.
