Any recommendations for a good all-in-one networked printer?

Asked by YoBob (12846points) February 14th, 2011

Ok, it’s time to upgrade.

It’s time to replace my old all-in-one with a shiny new one. I need the new one to have native network support so all of my systems at home can share it without having to keep a print server system up and running. Doesn’t necessarily have to be wireless as it will be sitting next to my router, but it would be nice to be able to move it if I want.

Ink cost is a consideration. I believe that HP is currently advertising the lower cost of replacement ink as an incentive.

Any recommendations?

Can’t make any positive suggestions but I’d not bother with Lexmark. Terrible driver support, very expensive ink.

So far, I have had good luck with my HP 4750. The included software makes it easy to scan in a multi-page document and turn it into a PDF, the print quality is decent, the ink tanks last a while… overall not a bad wireless all-in-one.
