Ever been screwed by the daylight savings time change?

Asked by jgrissett (468points) March 13th, 2011

Since the time change just happened, I was wondering if anyone has ever been affected by the change in a bad way. Did it make you late? Did losing an hour of sleep ruin your day? Has it ever just screwed up your life the day after the change?

It didn’t make me late, but early. I got up thinking it was the right time and I got showered, dressed and ready to leave only to realize that it was daylight savings. I was wondering the whole morning why it was still dark.

I’ve done the exact same as @shpadoinkle_sue. The shift was like, “Coming in for overtime?” I didn’t know what the hell they were talking about. Then it hit me, I was an hour early…. so I got some over time.

I’ve shown up an hour early for work as well. I’m thankful that it’s never made me late (yet).

The loss of an hour messes me up a little, though. The cats get thrown off their feeding schedule, and that confuses them even more. (They get a little wet food at 9am and 9pm – because they got their food “early” yesterday morning, they’re already bugging me and it’s only 815… or 715 “old time”!)

It’ll take me a couple of days to feel “normal” again.

Can’t say it happened to me.
It’s mainly because i am awake when hour gets changed so I know how to plan the day after some well deserved sleep. I wasn’t awake all the time when clock changed but it didn’t mix up my schedule.

I disliked working third shift during the fall switch.
