JBL or JB Lansing has always been my choice.

for value with great design history Cambridge SoundWorks

Orb Audio for small satellite and sub-woofer system.

Lower cost and high quality sound.

Bowers & Wilkins if price is not much of an issue.

I agree with @dabbler – Cambridge is the best value.

I’ve always been a big fan of Wharfedale currently got two floorstanding Diamonds and two bookshelf ones, you can only see the bookshelf ones here as the floorstanding ones are under my decks
