Can you make good spaghetti sauce using only yellow tomatoes?

Asked by Carly (4555points) April 27th, 2011

I’ve always thought the idea of yellow spaghetti sauce would look amazing, but I don’t know if it would taste good. Any opinions before I try to make my own recipe?

Yes, That is all we ate growing up. My Grandpa couldn’t eat red tomatoes, so we made our own sauce out of yellow tomatoes. My mother used to can about 45 qts a year of the stuff, and we would always run short.

It made a good base for chili too.

Next time I go home, I will dig out her recipe for you.

I never considered it but as @LukeFonFabre said I dont see why it wouldnt work out. I do agree though it would look pretty freaking awesome. I think I may have to give it a try myself when I get some time.
