Does this cat obsession seem fake to you guys?

Asked by Jellie (6492points) July 1st, 2011

This is a video only bit longer than two minutes of a girl who starts crying everytime she talks about cats. She wants them in a rainbow on her bed in a basket or something like that.

It looks really fake to me… what do yous think?

It is “fake” as most state it hahaha [ sill “I’d date her is the best :) ].

Back on topic . Acting takes time to master but she’s good at it .

Fake. There is eccentric and then there is just plain nuts! I’d say she falls into the latter
‘cat’-e-gory.

Yea the acting is spot on… it was the crazy talk of bow ties and rainbows that sort of took it over the top.

Coloma's avatar

Yeah, good freakin’ god..could you imagine if one of her cats died, she’d be carted off to the 6th floor basket weaving class in a catatonic state. hehe

@Coloma hehe it would be catastrophic. lurve bad puns

I love Youtube for this very reason! LOL people are generally nuts and youtube is perfect for inciting more insanity!

@sarahhhhh

Haha…yep, she’d need a cat-hartic therapy session okay, stretching it now lol

You should see the rest of her work. I think she’s a talented young comedienne. Makes fun of all things emo, goth, and valley girl.

Oh. Her name is Cara. Unless she’s Kara, her siamese twin.

Boy, do I feel naive. Until I saw this question I thought it was real. Stupid, whacked out, but real.

That was freakin’ hilarious! What an actress! The only thing that gave it away was a) no real tears and b) a couple of times she went back to her normal speaking voice and it lacked that runny, stuffed up nose quality one gets when one tries to talk after extreme emotion like that, and her voice didn’t break. Oh, that was great!

@zenvelo

I’m gullible too…it’s easy to trick me. Haha

Happens to you every time you think about geese, doesn’t it @Coloma! You know it does! Fess up!

Dutchess_III's avatar

O no! Your avatar! I’m getting tears in my eyes!

It wasn’t convincing in the slightest to me honestly. I’m no judge of acting, but her crying needs more work. I don’t know of a person that gets so “sad”, yet is incapable of shedding a single tear. She didn’t seem to be upset really, just kind of a whiny voice.

Especially at the end, where she stops pretending to wipe away tears entirely, and let’s the non-existent waterworks flow.

@Prosb Yes. I said pretty much the same thing, but it was funny non-the-less. No need to be sarcastic about it.
