How can I sync my iphone but only upload music and not anything else?

I share itunes on a computer with a few others. I do not want to have any of their apps on my phone, just the music. Is there a way to only copy the music and nothing else when I sync?

Click your phone in iTunes, then select Apps. Uncheck the “Sync Apps” box top left.
Do the same with photos, podcasts and whatever else you don’t want copied across.
Then hit the Sync button.
