How do I insert a website or photo into my Fluther questions?

Asked by Bill_Lumbergh (1468points) July 25th, 2011

Hello everyone, what’s happening?

So, I read the instructions at the bottom of the page under the text entry box on how to insert a link into a question or answer. I try to embed a link or photo with another name, i.e. “photo” or “look here”, using these instructions, but I cannot change it or make it a hyperlink attachement. Please help me understand this process.

break it down in very simple terms – I’m not the most computer savvy person here at Initech;)

Using the example in your details: “Photo”: followed by the url without any spaces.

To make a hyperlink, you create the words in double quotes, you add a : to the end of it, and you write the URL of the page that you want to link to to. There are no spaces between them.

Put the name in quote marks, followed by a colon, followed by a hyperlink.

You cannot embed a photo, you can only link to one. Instructions on how to link can be found in the three responses above.
