How can I keep up with my workouts and healthful eating when school resumes?

Asked by emeraldisles (1949points) July 29th, 2011

So its not like I don’t exercise at all during the school year it just gets harder for me to motivate because of stress/ tests even though a hard workout puts me in a great mood and makes me feel energized.I also have a harder time with the healthy eating because I see the crap that a lotof other people bring for lunch/ am around a lot of people who just don’t care. Anyways I’ve been running/ working out in some way almost everyday since the spring and wouldlike to keep up my lifestyle when school begins . So how would you suggest I get my workouts in/healthful eating when I get back into the swing of things.ps. for me I seem to have this thing where I gain 8 pounds/lose 8 pounds that’s driving me nuts because this happens when I get crazy stressed or anxious and I don’t want it to turn into more. Anybody who has any working advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve read that people who exercise in the morning are the most likely to stick with it over the long term. I’m not sure how true that is, but it might be helpful for you to maintain an early morning exercise routine so you get your workout in before the rest of your day starts.

Healthy eating…lots of planning ahead. Plan and pack your meals so you don’t have to grab whatever unhealthy crap is available.

You know I already get up at half past 5 sometimes even earlier and cannot get up any earlier. Believe me I’ve tried. I’ll probably either do a sport or just workout right when I get home before I do anything else.

I like taking dance classes. Exercising when it is something I enjoy does not feel like exercise to me.

Also, I walk with my neighbors a coupe times a week. Having a date to meet keeps my from just blowing it off.
