Have you ever had a deja vu experience around a Fluther question?

Asked by Sunny2 (18842points) August 10th, 2011

I just went to this question: Did you ever have a horrible date? Tell us about it.
I remembered seeing it before, but it was just entered today. I also recognized the first answer and was sure I’d seen it before too. I looked up ‘horrible date’. Nothing. It obviously was a deja vu. (a memory derived from repetitive similar experiences). Has this happened to anyone else?

With my own questions, yes. I often think about asking a question… only to swear that I’ve asked it before, and gotten the same responses. Then a search brings up nothing. I’ve convinced myself that it is just me thinking of the question in my head, and how to word it, that causes this… but essentially the same experience.

Every time I see another question about whether long distance relationships work.

Of course, it could be related to this question, or this one, or this one, or this one

It’s generally not deja vu, but the phenomenon of déjà posé here on fluther.

Sometimes I think of a question, and it turns out to be one I asked a year or two ago. Same language exactly. Freaky. And some people think I’m creative!

@wundayatta There must be a name for forgetting something you already wrote.
@lillycoyote Any suggestions?
