How big is Fluther?

Asked by Magnus (2884points) May 18th, 2008

How many members are there? About how many questions are asked per day? My first impression is that this is much better than Yahoo answers, but I don’t get the feeling I can ask about anything and be answered (well, I’m yet to experience that). Still, I really like the “feel” of this site, with the design and the people here.

Read guidelines first to get the “feeling.”

Welcome. Your first impression is correct. Fluther can pin Yahoo to the mat w. its non-dominant hand.

I think they said they have about 10K registered users. The number of active users would be much lower. Maybe in the hundreds?

And I would ask anything that fits within the guidelines gail posted. I’m not sure if I’m the only one that does this. But I often ask questions posted here on other sites. So the answer I post about your computer problem might have came from http://episteme.arstechnica.com/ and the answer about your pet might come from http://ask.metafilter.com/.

This is a great place to have conversations about just about anything. Also great suggestions about where to go or what to eat in various cities worldwide. And everything else.

Another suggestion is to put your question in the search box located on the top right of this page before asking. You may find that your question has already been asked and find some good answers there. We have a great group of helpful and intelligent people here, and before long you will find yourself completely addicted. So don’t forget to have a snack and a drink handy when you log in, because once here, it’s hard to leave!
