How should I say "happy birthday" to an old friend who I haven't seen in a year?

Asked by confusedblueeyes (37points) November 6th, 2012

How should you wish someone you’ve known for a few years a happy birthday? We haven’t talked ever since she moved, but we used to be close friends. Should I call, text, write it on her facebook wall? It’s not like we can go hangout or anything, but I don’t want her to think I forgot her birthday. Ideas?

Cards always work. Why do you think we still have them with all of our other means of communication?

Uh, by saying Happy Birthday. The means does not matter, just the expression of the thought dies,

Oops, that was supposed to be does (not dies).

Pick up the phone. fB stuff is a sorry substitute for real emotional connection. Then you can catch up on other areas of your life.

Depends on how much you care about maintaining the connection. Phone is the most intimate, then card, then text, then FB wall.
