Are you sure they’re scratches and not busted blood vessels? It’s not that uncommon for a man’s penis to be sore and/or swollen after rigorous and/or a lot of sex. Doggie style makes the vagina even snugger around his penis than usual, so this could be the cause even if you’re well lubricated.

The only other thing I can think of is an allergy, but if it only happens after one position then probably not.

Do you have prickly edges from a shave job that is growing out?

I agree with @Coloma. If you have short, growing out hairs, that can be pretty mean to a penis. It can irritate it quite a bit, although normally it is swollen anyway, so I’m not sure if you mean additional swelling or if you mean redness and irritation.
