Breaking News: the morning after pill will be available to all women, all ages! Your opinion?

Asked by Aster (20023points) April 5th, 2013

Now I know what they’ll do with all those abandoned cigarette machines. How do I feel about it ? I don’t know; the world is changing so fast my head is spinning. An authority said the pill will be as safe as any drug on the market.
How do you feel about it ? Parents will not be involved. Amazing.

I don’t care.
Unless, of course what we are saying is that taxpayers will pay for the pills.

Things change more slowly than some people would wish, but this is a positive step, as far as I’m concerned. It will affect the problems of overpopulation and unwanted babies.

I would rather my daughters have the option of taking a pill if a condom breaks or they stupidly have unprotected sex than they have to go through an abortion or bring a child they don’t want into the world.

I think it is a great idea and eliminates the abortion fight later. Although I have heard pro lifers say this is murder as well???? Some people just don’t have enough to do!

I think that, sadly, this is necessary for the reasons above. I say “sadly” because many kids are sexually active from such a young age and this is unlikely to change. I would rather they had easy access to the morning after pill than have to go through pregnancy and (possibly) raising a child when they are still children themselves or go through the trauma of an abortion.

I think it’s great. I mean yeah- young kids shouldn’t be sexually active in my opinion, but it’s inevitable. Isn’t it better to have a pill that decreases the risk of unwanted children than to have those irresponsible ones that end up on welfare for the rest of their lives because they have so many damn kids?
