What area is Peckham, London similar to?

Like how Brixton is similar to Harlem, New York.

I don’t know much about New York or any other American city, but Peckham is a traditional working-class borough with a high unemployment rate, low standard of living and high crime rate. However it is has also benefited from recent regeneration and development grants so the area is improving and attracting artists and cultural events. It is a very ethnically diverse area.

@downtide‘s description sounds a bit like Tbilisi, Georgia (country).
