What scholars are the premier experts on Port economies and trends?

I am looking for the experts on Port Economics – individuals who can talk about how port economies are changing, how ports differentiate themselves and what long-term trends might be? Who are the scholars / consultants / academics who write and research this?

I think you should check the Center for Maritime Economics and Logistics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

The other place to check would be to call the Port of Los Angeles
Since it is the busiest port in the US. Contact the executive director’s office and ask them to give you ideas on how to find this information.
