By height, by gender, by sexual orientation, how would the alliances (Survivor) solidify?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) August 6th, 2016

Say, a future Survivor contest had 19 competitors, have women, and half men, but three of each group, men and women were gay, three of each group were little people, and three from each group were normal height heterosexual people. As the completion got going how would the alliances cobble together if equal (or as near can be divided) people who were gay, little people and straight hetero were in each tribe?

It would divide into 18 people who would excitedly congratulate each other on their tolerance and diversity and one Muslim.

I think they’ll all be too shocked trying to figure out why each of their teams have been given half a corpse.

I don’t know if I can answer based on the information given. Knowing only that someone is straight or gay doesn’t tell me anything about whether they’d be a good teammate. Hell, they might not even know each other’s sexual orientations.

It’d probably be more likely that the little people would be discriminated against, since their condition is visible, and some people might think they wouldn’t be up for the physical challenges. It’s been years since I last watched the show so I kind of forget what the challenges are.

Well, the little people could be useful, to send into tight quarters to scope the place out, like to see if there are poisonous snakes and stuff.

Gay has nothing to do with it. Being in shape does. There is nothing about a person’s sexual orientation that determines physical ability

The last one I watched eons ago, there were some obstacle type maze challenges that had some pretty tight spaces the little people would have gotten through way easier.

No it doesn’t, but in the past I watched two Survivors where one was women vs men, and the other young vs old, I believe, anyhow, physical ability aside, they seemed to stick with their grouping, if they were young, they stuck with the young to get rid of the ”old geezers”, etc.

Women and men and young and old have a lot more inherent physical differences involved than straight and gay.
