Anyone have nerve pain in ear and head with tonsil stones?

Asked by tan253 (2958points) October 25th, 2016

Hi All,
Me again about my tonsil stones.
I’m sure I’ve got one deep in my tonsil, but I’ve woken up to extreme nerve pain, deep in my ear and my head feels as thogh I’ve had it in a pony tail all night – I haven’t. Plus when I swallow I feel a sharp pain on one side of my throat – (the side with the possible tonsil stone) – anyone else get this type of nerve pain with tonsil stones?
Heading to Dr tomorrow but I’ve been before about this type of pain and it normally goes away after 4 days and Dr’s have no idea what is it.

Maybe you are coming down with a cold.

Is the ponytail pain towards one side of your head also? Or, smack in the middle?

@tan253 Have you seen your physician by now for a diagnosis?

I did go to the Dr @si3tech she said, oh i don’t know… and now it’s gone, not a fan of my Dr.

Unfortunately “I don’t know” has been a rather common response that hubby and I have had with doctors. After a while of getting that sort of answer a person can tend to get pretty cynical about the “wonders” of modern medicine.

I’m glad it’s gone though, and let’s hope it doesn’t come back!
