What is the best place online to get good information about a nonprofit organization?

I know how to look up 990s, but I need a site that breaks down the information in a readable format.

Sorry for adding this as a comment.

I want to look at the sources of revenue of an organization.

Guidestar.org

If you’re looking for the identities of significant charitable donors, that information is private and redacted from public disclosure.

I have always felt Consumer Reports to be reliable. This is their advice…

“Before making a donation, it’s a good idea to look up the charity you are considering at the websites of the charity watchdogs. The three big ones are CharityWatch, Charity Navigator, and BBB Wise Giving Alliance. Collectively, these groups evaluate thousands of nonprofit organizations based on how they collect and spend their money, how transparent they are to the public, and how well they’re governed.”

Good luck

^^ Yes. When I worked for the VA, the federal government recommended CharityWatch/CharityNavigator to all their employees.
