Is there a pervasive attitude among liberals that drinking the conservative Kool Aid amounts to falling in with cretins?

Yes, I’m biased (but I hide it well)

Drinking any ‘kool-aid” means falling in with any group.

It is no different from accusations of “drinking the DNC kool -aid” as the reason Bernie Sanders is not President now.

By the way, I really dislike the phrase “drinking the kool aid.” The Electric Kool Aid Acid Tests were a way of expanding consciousness and independent non conformist thinking. That all got corrupted by Jim Jones in Guyana in 1978..

I guess so, I have never understood the conservative mind set in the first place so I guess it would take a lot of kool aid to have it work on me.

I mean they still believe very much in Reganomics and the trickle down theory.
You better spike my koolaid with a lot of vodka.

To me everyones koolaid on the left and right appears to be served up by Jim Jones. I’ll just drink pure water wherever I can find it. To answer the question, yes if you color outside the liberal agenda and even entertain ideas that don’t tow the line you are to be caste out and made an enemy. The right does this to a degree but not as bad. You’ll find many more center leaning conservatives than you will center leaning liberals. The reason is not because their really are less it’s because less will admit to it. To be honest most conservatives I know are actually socially liberal to a larger degree than the left recognizes. To them we are all nazi cretins from hell.

No, it means falling in with morons. For example, the masses of deluded idiots who bought into the Jade Helm BS a few years ago. And it was bad in Texas. Obama was going to declare martial law and have “dissidents” rounded up and put into internment camps in Wal-Mart’s. And supposedly Wal-Mart’s were being closed so that the basements (?) could be used for prisoners.
And our idiot Governor actually coddled these freaks to the point of having the Texas State Guard (different from the National Guard, sort of a private security force for the Governor) monitor the activities of the troops who were doing their exercises here. Way to support the troops, conservatives. I’m impressed. People who believe that shit need a frontal lobotomy.

^^I mean this is typical left wing binary thinking that erroneously puts conservatives in with the alt-right conspiracy douche bags. I literally don’t know a single person who buys into that shit and I’m in fucking Tennessee. When liberals play like that who can take them seriously.

Well, you can toss Faux News, Governor Greg Abbot of Texas, and numerous conservative talk show hosts in with the “Alt Right conspiracy douche bags” because they were hyping this bull crap all over the place. And a good portion of our Republican State Legislature as well, because no one challenged Abbot on getting the State Guard involved in this shit.

And as someone stated on another blog, “Since when is it necessary to coerce Texans to enter a Wal-Mart? All you’d have to do is announce a half price sale on ammo and frozen chicken nuggets, then get the hell out of the way to avoid bring trampled”.

Drink the Kool Aide, as the man says. Good and cold. You’ll feel better when the evil commie libs/ Dems come to get your assault weapons and put all the white folks in prison. Obama is even now plotting to overthrow Golden Boy and get back in the White House, so he can have it painted brown, while illegal immigrants take over and turn the country into a paradise of welfare mothers and moochers. Tune in to Rush for more details.

@ARE_you_kidding_me to my way of thinking, if conservatives team up with members of the Alt-right to advance your agenda then they justly deserve to be included as a group. If you cannot differentiate yourself from such trash or use them for your own ends then you are no better than them.

Sorry. You hang with shit, you get shit on you.

Now now, the evil Libs are picking on poor little Golden Boy, with foul rumors of collusion with (Ras)Putin and other sordid deeds. They can’t stick to facts like upstanding conservatives do, with truthful accounts of Obama being a Muslim, and having been born in Kenya. And we all know that Faux News is a shining beacon of fair reporting. The media is a fine institution as long as they always parrot the latest right wing talking point. Bull shit or not. And who could possibly argue that people like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’reilly are outstanding examples of fair minded reporting? Damn I need to ease of that Kool Aide, what do they put in that stuff?
