There was a huge deal about it on the news about it being another way for people to be bullies online. I think it was originally meant as a way to leave feedback at the workplace but it’s quickly become popular among young kids.

I heard the name with the news on in a different room today. It’s something positive, right? I was busy with something else and really wasn’t listening. Popular with kids, I think.

Wasn’t there something similar called Yik Yak. It was basically a app that allowed you to be horrible to people near you.

It’s the anonymous aspect of it. People don’t go home and kick the cat anymore. They get on the net, pick a victim and ream them a new asshole. Extra points if you can get your friends in on the kill. Triple score if you can drive someone to suicide.

I suppose the cats are happier.

Most of the people I know who tried it had overwhelmingly positive responses.

If course, we’re adults, and already got the slambook thing out of our systems in high school.
