What would you pay for this coffee table and two end tables? What do you think they're worth?

Coffee table

Close up of coffee table

One of two end tables

Even if you don’t like them, what would you expect them to sell for?

They need a bit of polishing up before I sell them.

@Zaku…I accidentally posted two of the same picture. See “Close up of coffee table” again.

I imagine they are well-made and sturdy and look better than those images in person or photographed with different digital camera settings in brighter light?

It would depend on whether I wanted/needed them, they matched my stuff, and whether I was buying off Craigslist or in a furniture shop.

I could see them in an estate sale or on Craigslist for under $100 or even $60, or at a furniture or antique shop/catalog/website for $1000.

I personally probably wouldn’t want to pay over $200 unless someone else (my lady, a business partner, etc) wanted them and thought they were worth it, but I expect a furniture store would ask at least twice that (though it also might sit in their showroom for a long time).

(I could be off though. I have done some furniture shopping in recent years, but I’m no expert by any means. Furniture prices are clearly very subjective though.)

They are Ashley BTW.

I would pay the equivalent of maximum $240 for the set.
That’s about €200.

Since they are used, no more than 200€

Looks like I stand to make a profit. Again.
I love the pieces so so much but they just overwhelm the room.

I’d say $200 for the set. Let me get my straw hat and western tie and give me a gavel.

I know the value of these is more than most people would want to spend on a used piece. Unless it was an antique, it won’t sell for much. But for the set I would start 400 for all 3 pieces. You can put it at 400 or best offer. If someone tries to low ball you, tell them you got an offer of 375.

They look very sturdy and quite unique to me. The finish on them is important, though, and they have scratches, right? And they’d overwhelm a room unless it were an enormous room. It’s hard to say but $200 max seems reasonable. I’d like to know the brand name too.

They’re Ashley @Aster. And I would call them in “Very good condition.” The only problem is a little bit of bubbling in the varnish in one small spot that you wouldn’t even notice if you weren’t looking for it. Other than that, it just needs a TLC polishing.

Thanks. I now have a good feel for what I can resell these puppies for. It’s either I sell them or we buy a new house! I paid $50 total, so I can get my money back plus.

I figured out a long time ago that “value” is so subjective. It’s what people think a thing is worth that counts. There are some who wouldn’t pay $5.00 for them. Then there are those who would pay $1,000.00. It’s just a matter of finding the right buyer.
