Is it tacky to buy 2 grandkids, from 2 different households, who are about the same age, the same gift (a toy) for Christmas?

Talking about kids under the age of 10 or 11. I have 10 of them.

If you think they would both like the toy, then no, of course not.

No?
At least this way, they will not be jealous of each other.
Is it socks? Tell me it is socks.

No, certainly not. V, if anyone in your often-difficult family attempts to insult you or belittle your gift choice, please try to ignore.

Nope, not tacky at all.

If one complains that they are the same, reply, “yes, you’re right, your cousin should have gotten a much nicer gift for being so polite.”

I think only one person would be tacky enough to even comment on it. I wasn’t worried about that so much as wondering if I’m just being lazy. We have not only my 10, but Rick has another 5. Jesus that’s a lot of kids.

I often buy exactly the same gift for my two youngest grandkids who live in the same house so they won’t fight over it, sometimes different colors so they can tell whose is whose.

That’s not lazy! You found something you think will be a great gift for those two children and you didn’t want either of them to miss out. Even if that’s not true, take the compliment!
