Should I want my new front teeth crowns to be 100% perfect in size and shape?

Asked by Aster (20023points) October 3rd, 2019

I’d do it again; huge improvement. But paranoia is setting in the more I look at them. I keep seeing one is slightly shorter than the other. I don’t think anyone else would notice but I do.

There’s no harm in talking to the dentist about it if you are not satsfied. Crowns can be redone.

thanks. Do you think. they should be perfect in size and shape? Or am being too picky.

Take a photo of yourself & see if it looks strange. If it bothers you, talk to the dentist again.
Maybe you will find that it looks more natural the way they did them.

I have front crowns and they are very even with each other.

Talk with the dentist and he can remove and file down the imperfection then replace the crown cap back on.
Dentist should had checked for even placement the first time..perhaps no charge if you confront him in a cooperative way?

“Confront in a cooperative way”? That’s an oxymoron!

thanks guys. I met the lady who makes and bakes the permanent crowns!!! She said she will make it right or die trying. . She is a master; just loved her. She noticed the difference in length immediately which was the fault of my dentist’s sixty something year old grandmotherly type. dental assistant . I don’t like her near my mouth tbh. Nice, though. Just needs to retire. I bet she’s his mother in law.
