What else could this tool be used for?

Asked by lucillelucillelucille (34325points) November 6th, 2019

I recently saw a man on tv using a mini chainsaw. Outside of cutting branches or firewood. What else could it be used for?
I really want to try it :)

For the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre starring Peter Dinklage.

Chainsaw carving art.

Aw, now I want one too! I do lots off odd jobs around, and I would love something that was sturdier than a reciprocating saw and less restrictive than a circular saw.

rebbel's avatar

Present day Dexter would have one in his kit.

Carve the shit outta your thanksgiving turkey.
Manicure
Bikini line trimmer, for those with a tufty bush :D

@Zaku -Maybe get more detail!
@canidmajor -Yep!
@rebbel -Who’s that?
@ucme -Lol!

@ragingloli That was funny, good one!

The link comes up blank for me.

I wonder how it would do for slicing a roast.
Chase @Yellowdog’s mice with it.
I bet it would slice watermelon real good.
When winter comes make a big block of snow, packing it hard as you go, then make a sculpture.
Get money back from the people who owe you.
Bring it with you on poker night, and really cut the deck.
Stand in the yard and pretend to be sculpting. See how many people try to figure out what you are doing.
Wear a goalie mask, and crash a teen or college party.
Make a totem pole.
REVENGE

I would love something like that. All power tools are all manly manly, so I have to use a massive chop saw to cut one little board.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Patty_Melt -Lol! Ice sculpture. I’ll bet they use them for that.

Cutting meat you buy at Aldis

Great Dane manicures and pedicures.

@Love_my_doggie With that tool and an angle grinder you could make a killing giving pedis
at retirement homes.

@stanleybmanly -I will suggest this to my neighbor who does that.—then ask him to lend me his teeny chainsaw—lol

Patty_Melt's avatar

I didn’t get to see the link. How teeny is this?

Patty_Melt's avatar

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!
WAAAAAAAAANT!!!!

raum's avatar

Whoa. Like you could have one in each hand?

I’m envisioning Edward Scissorhands—but with horsepower.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@raum -and you know that’d be fun!

Patty_Melt's avatar

@raum me too! I have a rapid growth rain forest which needs to be cut back all the time.

raum's avatar

There needs to be a YouTube channel of just people using these mini chainsaws.

I would totally spend hours watching @Patty_Melt cutting back her overgrowth with these.

Seriously.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Patty_Melt – I have some things I have to f@ck right up! Lol!
@raum -I can see this in the future

raum's avatar

The future is now!

Not available in the US. Russian dude in video said he got it from the UK. @ucme, hook us up, man.

Going down a mini chainsaw YouTube rabbit hole! HALLPPP!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@raum- That is the program I saw the other night. He does experiments and test things.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I found them all up and down eBay. Cost is too much for me right now. I was expecting them more like fifty bucks brand new.
