If you had a dash cam, what would it show?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46812points) December 4th, 2019

Like this.

I wonder if people using the dash cam would become aware of their own driving issues, or would they still simply focus on other people’s “bad” driving.
For example, the guy ahead hits his breaks and they don’t notice until the last screaming second.
Would things like that mean anything to the driver / owner of the dash cam? Would it wake them up?

Mine would show nothing but traffic and fields.
And I’m an excellent driver with full points and no tickets.lol

Does any one else tell you you’re an excellent driver?

@Dutchess_III My record speaks for itself. :)
So no, I don’t cart people around much though.

I have had several people tell me I’m a good driver, including my MOM! Gasp! She found fault in everything I ever did.

I had a girlfriend once who thought she was an excellent driver because in 25 years of driving she’d never been in a wreck. She was a HORRIBLE driver. She scared the F out of me. I found excuse to not be in the car with her. She just used her “no wreck” excuse over and over.
I finally told her “I’ve never died, either. Doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. I’m just lucky so far.”
She finally got into a wreck, a very easily avoidable wreck at that. Hope she learned something.

@Dutchess_III haha, my husbands the only one who complains, he thinks I’m supposed to stop five feet back from a stop sign. I’m like, that’s what the white lines are for, to show you where to stop.

Mine would show slow slightly curvy roads and lots and lots of golf carts.
