I don’t think it has an official name. Claw maybe.

In the first Nightmare On Elm Street movie, he said it was God.

(He said this to Tina right before he killed her).

Pruning shears? Yes, you can probably find those on Amazon. Failing that you can easily find them at your neighborhood hardware store.

The cops will shoot you, if you wear the thing. You wouldn’t be able to just drop it, and you’re a big guy. Double threat. It would be easy for a LEO, to prove that they were justified in shooting you.
Don’t risk your life, over a novelty item…

The teenagers were staying with Tina while her parents were away because Tina was having the same dreams as several of the others. In her nightmare, she was hearing someone say her name and she went out to the alley. She encountered Freddy and was unable to escape from him because he was everywhere she ran to. She said, “Help me God” and Freddy replied, “Tina, THIS—is GOD,” and slaugtered her.

While her boyfriend was lying next to her, Tina was ripped to shreds as she struggled to awaken herself, in one of the most nightmarish scenes in horror movie history.

In nightmares, Freddy has absolute power and invincibility. Freddy, and that gloved hand, is ‘God’,
