Have you ever received long distance charges on your cup and string phone?

My father was rather annoyed by the string hanging across the street and mandated a disconnection.

The only fees were the obligation to eat the peaches out of the can.

That is long distance for the cup & string. Did you get good reception?

I once had to leave a great job and landed in a nightmare. (The reasons are complicated. I won’t bore you with them.)

My new office building was nearby the place where I’d previously worked; I could literally watch, and long for, my former colleagues. There was much joking about how we should all use two cans and a long string to chat.
