In keeping with these "what if" threads I've been seeing, what if you could return to another era in time, where would you go?

I’d do my trapping and hunting in the spring summer and fall, then hunker down for the winter in some stockaded trading post. Not big on cold weather , so I’d rather warm by backside by a fire in a settlement. I suppose you could call those tumble down posts a settlement. As close to one as you’d find at that time and place.

Mid-1700’s, Connecticut or Hudson Valley NY.

Another choice would be late 1800’s, Victorian era, in one of the towns along the Hudson River, NY. I know Yonkers (right north of NYC), used to have beautiful Victorian mansions, as did many of those towns along the Hudson, and it would be great to see them in person during that time.

I’d take a week in one of those periods, so if I didn’t like it, I could come back quickly.
