How long will this olive oil keep?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46815points) December 21st, 2020

It’s still sealed from the factory.
Every year my dad’s wife sends my husband two slender bottles of olive oil made in the town she lives in.
We don’t use much olive oil but it’s nice to have around….but we now have about 8 unopened bottles! Olive oil out the ears! Will it keep indefinitely?

My understanding is that it generally will go bad after 2 years (max).

Give it as gifts, or start using it. It’s good stuff!

V., what you do is send some of those bottles to me! I adore olive oil and use it almost daily.

Most unfortunately, olive oil is heavy, as are the glass bottles. The shipping costs might exceed the price of the product.

Maybe I’ll just show up at your front door one of these days….

I’ll send you MY address then!
