How does one remove bacon skuz?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24468points) January 22nd, 2021

I cooked on January 19th, 2021 some thick cut bacon, and it is covered with brown skuz? Should I rinse or pat down with a paper towel? Or chuck? It tastes gross.

I think I would toss it.

Are you talking about the bacon or the pan ?

If it tastes gross I’d chuck it! Ummm…why even ask?

Throw it out.

You cooked it on Tuesday and you are asking Saturday morning what to do with it? Why didn’t you eat it on Tuesday? Bacon is not a food to cook in advance; you cook what you need for the meal you are about to eat.

@zenvelo I disliked the scuz from the get go. I liked one piece of it, and I thought of finding a way to salvage some of it. It is a learning experience. As always thanks for your grounding logic.

I have no idea what that is. I cook a package of bacon in the oven on a foil covered cookie sheet. When its done, I place it on a paper towel, then in a baggie for individual use. I don’t recognize the term skuz.
