The reason that there is no explanation on the awards page—and the reason why the previous two answers were moderated—is that the Atlantis awards (aka all of the awards with white plaques) are “secret” awards. You have to either figure them out yourself or hope that someone will be willing to let the secret slip (usually via PM, though, since we discourage public explanations of how to get them).

That said, a lot of people are willing to share their knowledge. And any guesses you have can be sent to one of the mods (who can give you a “yes” or “no” regarding your guess).

But my answer was actually correct @HP and I think I knew because at one point it said that somewhere. So no need for guesses. But Sshh – it’s a secret!

Correct or not, it has vanished. I have just enough recall in my dotage to remember that whatever your explanation…at the time it seemed plausible.

I’ve gotten so many Perfectofish Awards that after the umpteenth one I figured it out by myself.
It is pretty obvious once you know it.

I started getting them pretty soon after the awards were introduced (afterthoughts ‘R’ us). It didn’t take much guessing. What I don’t remember, though, is if there’s a way to see how many times I’ve received it. Must be way up in the thousands.

I would like to have a KFC award.

I reject any attempt to reward my moral and spiritual decline with fish – perfect or otherwise.

@Jeruba You can see which awards you have received here. If you hover over the plaque, it will tell you how many times you’ve received that particular award (912 at present).

@SavoirFaire, I never knew that. Thank you. There are still a lot of little corners in Flutherland that I’ve never yet discovered.
