General Question

I have a NSFW hygiene question (NSFW).

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24473points) 2 months ago

I have some shampoo that says not to use on broken skin.

I have itchy scabs on my head. I have had them for 24 years. I scratch until they bleed. Every day. Only anti-allergy pills work, but only temporarily. Unless I keep taking them.

Can I use on my head? Is Flexitiol.

What shampoo is it. I can recommend a great shampoo if you have eczema on your scalp. DHS zinc shampoo is great for eczema and dandruff.

If you scabs is fungal related, you can get rid of it for a while using Apple Cider vinegar. You mix it with water and warm it up. Then pour on your scalp. Its going to itch and burn a little but it will decrease. Make sure it doesn’t get in your eyes. It will stink but keep it on for twenty minutes to 30 while wrapping your head with heated towels. After get someone to help you gently remove the scabs. And then rinse your hair and dry. The smell will disappear. The apple cider vinegar will kill the yeast on your scalp. ACV is great for balancing the skin. It will not hurt open scabs and the treatment can last up to two weeks and give your scalp time to heal.
