Without a doubt, this is the legendary Chupacabra.
Beware, when threatened, its neck will open up, and its head will hinge backwards, revealing a cluster of poisoned spikes that it will launch at you. Once injected, your body parts will fall off one by one, which will then transmutate into baby Chupacabras.

According to the article, the experts think it is a dog or a coyote. A dog with a skin condition is what one vet said.

Texas does indeed have Dingos or a variation thereof. According to the experts, Dingos were introduced into Australia through SE Asia. Dingos were also introduced into the southern US through SE Asia. It is believed that the dogs in Native American communities were a version of the Dingo. Also, there is a breed named Dixie Dingo aka Carolina Dingo that doesn’t always have the bushy tail but do look like this pic if the DD hadn’t eaten in a month or so.

My cousin married a Texan & lived in Texas for years. They rescued a Dingo after they got married. I’m thinking that maybe if a coyote & a Dixie Dingo bred that their offspring might look like this pic.

IMHO It’s probably some type of coyote-dog hybrid. This type of hybridization is seen a lot more often than in the past. I believe there are significant populations of coyotes and of feral dogs in the area of Texas known as the Hill Country, so it would be no surprise to me if those populations would interbreed.
