My 15 seconds of fame?

Asked by LostInParadise (31921points) October 25th, 2008

I finally got the guys on the radio show Car Talk to use of my submissions for their puzzler. I just found out about it this morning when I listened to the radio show. I was a bit surprised that I did not get an email saying that they would use my entry.

I don’t mean to brag, but I thought this was kind of neat.

Well done. It is excting. (Use “Have you ever had a brief moment of celebrity?” as your lead since it is a question. (Your “15 seconds of fame” is information with a ? at the end. Better as a start-off in the text.)

I was famous on the internet for one day when I came back from Ireland & England last summer to a $3000 phone bill.

Our local college radio station played one of my bands songs. That was pretty sweet..

I’ve been on tv on the local news a few times especially when I was little when my Dad’s army things were being filmed. eg When he came back from East Timor and when he came back from Iraq (though that wasn’t that long ago).

I was a monthly winner of Real Simple Magazine’s “Your Words” section. Got my pic in the magazine, and won a book about cleaning (like I’m ever gonna’ use that).

I was recently on television here in town. Just on community access channel but they gave me a whole 45 minute interview. I published an article in a magazine a few years ago and won a state award too.

It does feel good to get public recognition for the work you do. Congratulations on your Car Talk submission. I like that show!
