Do guys chafe when "going commando"?

Asked by syz (35943points) November 3rd, 2008

We had a client in a kilt the other night, and he seemed to be having a medical problem – he walked quite oddly, propped a foot up on the bench, and generally seemed very uncomfortable (I just can’t describe it adequately without the visual). All the girls where in the back laughingly debating whether or not to offer him some medicated powder. Is chafing a common side effect?

yes! Absolutely. Chafing can be a common side effect of having the parts, no matter what kind of undies he’s putting on that day, or none at all.

and you don’t even want to know the narsty germs you get doing that. BLECH!!

@soap: LOL, no… I’m not sure where it came from.

Well it is fun to say, I think its my new word!

That’s exactly how I got it… I said it once, people chuckled, I said it again, more chuckles… so now it’s part of my vocab. LOL

I would assume that it depends on if you are circumcised or not. cirmcumcised men have chafing during ‘commando runs’, uncut or natural men, probably not so much. One of my Scottish friends wears a kilt when he rides his motorcycle, much to the delight of the women on the highway.

Actually I think chafing is a lot less likely to occur in guys when they are going commando. For guys it helps to have extra air and breathing room gained when going commando helps keep things dry down there as compared boxers tend to soak up sweat and hold it next to the body tends to lead to chafing especially in hot and humid weather. Even with newer jeans that were a bit on the rough side until they soften up when they got broken in I’ve never had any problems with chaffing when going commando.

I’ve never worn a kilt but I know most kilts are made out of wool and a lot of people have problems with wearing wool making them itch. So my best guess is that the guy in question found out the hard way that his most sensitive area and wool do not get along that well with each other.
